Project description:

In the Berchtesgaden salt mine, which has been in operation since 1517, approx. 900,000 cubic metres of brine are currently extracted per year in 30 drilling rigs. The extent of the deposit currently being mined, with a salt content of approx. 50% in the mountains, is 2.5 km x 1.5 km. An exhibition mine is located directly adjacent to the active mining operations.

Numerous multiple rod extensometers with up to 60 m individual rod lengths were supplied and installed for the geotechnical rock mass monitoring of individual flushing plants, which have an extension of up to 160 m x 120 m and a height of up to 125 m. The installation was carried out in the ridge and the roof of the mine. The installation was carried out in the ridge and floor of existing galleries.

In an old water gallery in the area of the “Old Salina” in Reichenhall, a Georobot system was installed for automatic deformation measurement in the area of influence of bored piles for the construction of a new hotel.
